Main item of chiropractic work is the specific adjustment of blocked joints. The blocked joint gets moved with tension into a specific direction and afterwards moved with a quick impulse of very small amplitude slightly over its own limit of movement without exceeding its anatomic limits. Very often this is combined with a hearable, but completely free of pain and completely harmless crack which is caused by the collapse of gas bubbles in the joint gap. The structures of the joint are not moved out of their position. So there is no danger of worn out or strained ligaments.
