Eye diagnosis means to recognize the readiness to fall ill and predispositions from the iris of the eye. Apart from the iris and the pupil also the sclera (conjunctiva) and outer parts of the eye, for example upper and lower lid are looked at for diagnosis.

Both methods are medical diagnostic methods to check for changes of form, colour and structure of the eye, which can be taken as indicators for illness in the whole body.
